Food, fun and fellowship are the tools utilized here, along with music and testimonies. Each year over 2,500 Jr. High and High School students come together and engage the gospel at this event. The hope and purpose of this event is that it will be a tool in the hands of Churches, families, and individuals in the Foothills Communities and beyond to invite a friend to encounter Jesus Christ.

Hair Camp is an event unlike anything in the industry. In a sea of lackluster, uninspiring education options, Hair Camp redefines how stylists learn about hair. It’s a mixture of summer camp, top shelf hair education, and the coolest industry conference around. We are inviting the “who’s who” of hair educators in the industry today.

We want to foster a community of confidence and grace through:

- Learning best practices by sitting shoulder-to-shoulder while being inspired.

- Presenting the freshest, most innovative, and solid education in the industry with educators from all over the country.

- Inspiring campers through multi-sensory experiences by creating environments that are beautiful and fun, while taking every opportunity to surprise and delight.

Conscious Culture Launch Event

Conscious Culture Launch Event

Conscious Culture is an online platform and community designed to to build awareness, facilitate storytelling, and empower authentic transformation for social change. We strive to create safe spaces to explore and discuss topics related to race and culture. And we believe in allowing all voices to be heard in order to prompt self awareness, and ultimately action.

At our discussion events, we practice the courage to look within, intention to cross boundaries, and freedom to experiment and ask hard questions. We position ourselves to stay curious about ourselves and others. And we confront bias head on to build bridges, not walls, one conversation at a time.

During the event, you will be guided through a series of discussion questions. Light appetizers and dessert will be served and the coffee bar will be available for purchase. Hospitality is a core value of ours, and we believe there's something sacred about gathering around the table. This event will function a bit differently than our intimate dinner events, so please feel free to come and go as you are able, though we will have a short program at 7:45 p.m.

If you join us, we ask that you'd come willing to listen and ready to share. Oftentimes this requires both humility and curiosity to engage with others different than us. And we hope you'll leave knowing something or someone you didn't know before. We'd love to have you!

Pamper and Purpose #10

The vision for Pamper with a Purpose started in a closet 10 years ago and now it has developed into an event that last year alone served over 75 inner city female teens in which 15 were teen moms. This took place with the help of 100 volunteers. We are so excited to invite our South Bay girls to an evening of pampering that they will not forget!

We believe our Urban Young Life students deserve to be pampered. They also have a right to know that they are loved, precious and valued.

This event will give girls an opportunity to get their hair cut, hair styled, nails painted, eye brows threaded, and get their makeup done. Girls will get a chance to shop through hundreds of clothing items that have been donated as well as enjoy dinner and a inspiring message.

2018 TEDxPasadena: Transform

TED is an acronym for technology, entertainment and design and TEDxPasadena is a local, self-organized, non-profit TED event, that brings people together to share a TED-like experience.

This conference gathers community together for a day of discourse over TEDTalk videos and live speakers. The goal is to spark deep discussion and connection.

Our community has grown to over 5,000 people and more than 1,500 have attended our annual conferences, but more than 2 million curious minds have viewed our 53 TEDx Talks on YouTube!

After building Momentum (2015), and realizing It’s About Time (2016) to Rise (2017), we leveraged an exceptional lineup of speakers who will inspire us to TRANSFORM (2018)!

Sublime joy, wrenching tragedy, an enlightening conversation – these can all transform. And so do words and stories. This year’s event celebrates our ability to transform...from subtle internal shifts to seismic quantifiable ones. We hope you'll join us!

Visit www.tedxpasadena.org for a list of the 2018 TRANSFORM speakers as well as TED Talk videos from TEDxPasadena 2017, 2016 and 2015.

Find Your Fire - MOPS

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) We build circles of moms who love each other like family. Our gatherings are where moms can meet to share their hopes, fears and insights, in a format that works with their schedules, that doesn’t neglect their faith nor their womanhood, their motherhood nor their purpose, their heart nor their mind.

"Find your Fire" Never let the fire go out … When you hope, be joyful. When you suffer, be patient. When you pray, be faithful. Share with God’s people who are in need. Welcome others into your homes. – Romans 12:11-13 Some women fear the fire, others tend their God-given fire and use it to light up their hearts and the world. Let's be those women. We will stop inhaling the fumes of our mistakes that tell us we are not enough, not a good enough mom, not pretty enough, not brave enough, not smart enough, not wealthy enough. Instead, we will choose to tend our God-given fire. We will love our children with an all-consuming love and use our words to warm the world. We will hold the torch up high and shed light on what matters most. When our homes feel cold, we’ll light a fire. When a friend has lost her spark, we’ll fan her flame. When the world seems dark, we will be an ember of hope. In order to do this we will, Live Expectantly Surrender Daringly Breathe Freely
